Researchers at King's College London found psilocybin (i.e. 'shrooms) actually boosts the brain's connectivity.
Guided mushroom trips are often incredibly profound experiences. The positive change of psilocybin's effects on human nature is a connectedness to the world.
...which is precisely what
Trippers report feelings of joy and adaptability.
These transcendent experiences linger long after the trip is over.
You know what else?
Like other fungi, mushrooms reproduce via spores, which travel through the breeze to find a new place to grow.
But mushrooms often live in sheltered areas on forested floors, where the wind doesn't blow. To solve the problem of spreading their spores, some shrooms create their wind.
The fungi increase the rate of water evaporating off their surfaces, placing water vapour in the air immediately around them.
Translation: they get extra sweaty to force their spores to travel beyond themselves.
Through Microdosing, you're forcing your consciousness to expand beyond its normal reach - exactly what full psilocybin trips do. But in teeny-tiny amounts.
Our fungi friends help us find connectivity and adaptability in nature too.
You release emotions within yourself that were previously stuck, lodged too deeply and too tightly to access. And as you move those out, you create space for something better.
This is how we grow.
