79 days until 2022?! What are you up to?
Hello,
I stumbled across Writing in Community with Seth Godin late last week and took it as a sign that I needed to join. I’m jumping in with both feet. I'm committed to writing every day, but I’m doing so without an outline or “plan”.
I’ve started and abandoned countless projects over the years but don’t currently have an actual plan for this series.
I have always aspired to write, and I found some of my best writing was done privately on online dating apps! Casual conversations with strangers about life that had some deeper meaning. Thankfully those conversations lead to a successful marriage! 💃🏻🕺🏻
I know there is value in building the writing muscle, getting into a routine, and watching the words pile up. I sense that sharing, in the same way, can happen here. Committed people are open about what makes their life unique and exciting.
I’m curious if others are in a similar boat.
Why are you here?
I have a hunch I am not the only one shaking off the uncertainty of the last few years. Healing the past has been the only way I found moving forward responsibly. I am ready to acknowledge this itch and put it to use. There are fewer distractions in the world, and part of healing is using the new space for something creative and meaningful. I am unsure where it is going, but it feels fresh and exciting.
It's an excellent time to be alive. As simple as it sounds, each element is also needed in great leaders to make great cultures, and I'm curious about how to weave all that in.
I know these ramblings will get me somewhere, still working on "that." Stay tuned.
Hit reply and let me know what you’ll be doing in Q4. We’ll cheer each other on. It’ll be fun.
Here’s to a happy end-of-year!
Warmly,
Ps. While we all want to strive to recuperate, we are also smart enough to find a new way. When we ask for what we need, we can do our part to improve. Thanks for being here!
