First, may I express deep gratitude and humility for the latest annual pledgers, Tiffany and Hilary? Thank you!!
Hello to me and you and a dog name Yuke in an origami canoe!! 🥰
Hey, ya, everyone! I am an explorer of psychedelics though I am no longer a psychedelic guide and have never been a would-be shaman. For me, learning and understanding are continuous journeys. The importance of responsible drug use respectfully and cautiously brings beautifully honest benefits.
Through my personal experiences, I've come to appreciate the role psychedelics can play in helping us break free from the constraints of our everyday lives. These drugs capture a glimpse of new possibilities and inspire us to work towards a more just and equitable society.
In these weekly newsletters, I share how I've integrated psychedelics into my personal growth and social justice journey. I believe in using my experiences as tools for transformation, whether expanding our thinking about the world or strengthening our connections with others.
Approaching psychedelics with curiosity, humility, and responsibility helps me stay grounded in why I do this work.
So if you're interested in learning more about my practices and experiences with psychedelics, I welcome you to join me on this journey toward more profound knowledge and significant personal and social change.
By building a community of explorers, we can learn from each other and create a culture of safety and respect.
Let's get to know each other, shall we?
What psychedelic drugs have you used, and what have your experiences been like?
How do you integrate your psychedelic experiences into your daily life and relationships?
How can we work towards creating a more just and equitable society through psychedelics?
How can we use our experiences with psychedelics to inspire and inform our activism and social justice work?
Are there any specific resources or communities you recommend for those interested in exploring psychedelics responsibly and informally?
How has your personal journey with psychedelics impacted your views on spirituality, personal growth, and social justice?
I hope these questions have sparked your curiosity and guided your exploration of psychedelics in personal growth and social justice activism.
Please share as much as you like in the comments!! (Or, you can connect with me 1:1! Book here for a FREE 30-minute conversation.)
Responsibly taking drugs means it is also vital to advocate for decriminalizing drug use and to challenge oppressive drug policies that disproportionately impact BIPOC communities. By sharing your experiences in a way that normalizes responsible drug use for everyone and supports harm reduction practices, we can help create a more informed and accountable drug culture.
It takes courage to openly discuss drug use in a society that often stigmatizes and criminalizes it. I commend you for your willingness to share your experiences and insights with others.
We can deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world and inspire us to work toward a more just and equitable drug culture.
Thank you for being here with me.
Hugs and drugs,
We can deepen our understanding and the world in several ways and work towards a more just and equitable drug culture. Here are a few suggestions:
Educate yourself: Read books, articles, and research studies on drug culture, drug use, addiction, and related topics. Learn about the history of drug use and policies and the social, economic, and political factors shaping drug use and drug-related harm.
Engage with diverse perspectives: Seek different viewpoints and opinions on drug culture. Listen to people with lived experiences, including those who use drugs and those in recovery, and experts in the field, activists, and policymakers.
Reflect on your own experiences and biases: Consider your knowledge of drug culture, drug use, and addiction and how these experiences may shape your views and attitudes. Reflect on any biases or prejudices you may hold and work to challenge and overcome them.
Advocate for change: Get involved in advocacy efforts to promote a more just and equitable drug culture. This could include supporting harm reduction strategies, advocating for policy reforms, and working to reduce stigma and discrimination towards people who use drugs.
Practice empathy and compassion: Extend empathy and compassion towards people who use drugs and those affected by drug-related harm. Regardless of background or circumstances, drug use is a complex issue.
By taking these steps, we can deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world and work towards creating a more just and equitable drug culture.
I am just getting my toes wet with micro-dosing. It's been close to 40 years since I've done shrooms. I after a little over a week, I'm already feeling like it's working.
Thanks so much, Kathleen. I'm looking forward to this journey!
