Hello there,
I hope you're doing well. I've been keeping busy with a few things I'm excited about. (I made a list; look down, waaaaay down.)😎
The time has come; I'm back on my kayak this week and ready for a new season. There's something extraordinary about being out on the water, lungs full, crisp smell of ions, surrounded by silence, feeling the wind in my hair, drifting down the canal is my watery wonderwall where all my worries float away. It's a great way to disconnect and enjoy the peace.
I bought tickets to see Sam Smith in concert! I'm a big fan of their music and looking forward to the performance; I follow along on IG, and the beauty of their magnificent work gets me emotional. I'm actually going alone, which I've never done before. But it's my goal to step outside of my comfort zone and experience new things. 🤩
Life's still a wild ride, with twists and turns that can take us on unexpected journeys. Sometimes, things can be tough. Facing the shittiness of relationships head-on is tricky, but I am finding ways to also explore joy in the little things and to keep moving forward even when it is things I have never done. Plus, I continue to fill my fitness circles like I am in JK (Junior Kindergarten, or is that just a Canadian thing?)
Anyway, fellow adventure seekers!
If you are riding the self-leadership train- buckle up and hold on tight because things might get bumpy. That's where all the fun is, right?
Imagine what could happen if we dared to be MORE of ourselves. We could become the next next, write a memoir, or embrace our inner weirdos and live like no one's watching! Let's dance, wear mismatched socks, and sing at the top of our lungs. Let's take the scenic route and explore the unknown. And most importantly, let's do it all with a big, goofy grin! Who cares what others think?
And the best part is, we're all in this together. Please encourage others to be brave and step out. Even if we might fall and stumble, we'll always get back up and keep moving forward.
Let's see where it takes us – with open hearts, minds, and courage. ♥️
I'm curious – what are you up to these days? What's bringing you joy? What are some challenges that you're facing?
Wanna connect and share our experiences? Feel free to reply to this email, comment below, or message me – I'd love to hear from you.
Until next time, let's keep the adventure alive and embrace all the weird things life offers.

Keep shining - let our freak flags fly, people!
Some fun things, just in case you wanna join in!!
Rainbow Rowell's "Simon Snow" series is a young adult fantasy series that follows the story of Simon Snow, a teenage boy attending a magical school. The trilogy is witty dialogue, fast-paced action, and beautiful, emotional depth. The series features diverse characters, including LGBTQ+ representation, and explores love, friendship, family, and identity themes.
The duet by Brandi Carlile and Sam Smith is titled "Party of One." It's a ballad about feeling alone and finding comfort in being with someone who understands and accepts you for who you are.
For sure, a latecomer to the Ted Lasso party. Ted Lasso is like a warm, buttery biscuit, the perfect combination of heart and humour, and I am left craving more. Binge-watching as we speak and falling in love with the complexity of the characters is so satisfying. I have laughed, cried, and renewed my belief in the power of human kindness.
My favourite comfort food is Korean pork bone soup from pork bones that create a rich broth. The soup is typically seasoned with garlic, ginger, scallions, potatoes, and Korean radish. It is also known as gamjatang (감자탕) in Korean. Kimchi stew called "kimchi jjigae" (김치찌개) is also a favourite. My husband makes that the best.
Enjoy the concert. I like the duet with Sam and Brandi. I tried to get tickets to see Brandi with Joni Mitchell next month at the Gorge here in Washington but tickets were sold out immediately. Damn. Enjoy getting out on the water. It is indeed invigorating and healing. love.
