Dear friends,
Can you believe it's been almost two years since I last talked about a safe drug user on IG live, and poof, it was over for me on Instagram? Time flies! (when this happens, it is tragic for businesses, important news on that is in the points below👇) So thanks for sticking with me over here. You being a dear reader, saved my bacon!
As I reflect on the past years, there have been some practical changes in my life, and I wanted to share an important and slightly sensitive topic.
I've had quite the journey recovering from cultic beliefs, high control groups, and being groomed into New Age Wellness. It's been a wild ride, filled with twists and turns. And you know what? It has made me even more passionate about promoting safe drug use and recovering from faux spirituality and wellness.
You might wonder how these two things connect, so let me share a personal story with you.
Picture this: It's 2020, and the world is going through unprecedented times. Amid it all, I made a decision that inadvertently led to my involuntary exit from a new-age spiritual community of friends and personal and professional relationships. What was it? Drumroll, please... getting vaccinated!
Who would have thought that prioritizing health and protecting myself and others would create such a stir? Suddenly, I was labelled an outsider and a divisive disrupter. But hey, I wear those labels with pride because I know I made an informed decision based on scientific evidence and caring for the well-being of our world community.
This experience taught me a valuable lesson about the power of misinformation and conspiracy theories that I had believed and sought out for decades. It also reinforced my commitment to promoting education, critical thinking, and safe practices in all areas of life, including drug use.
And that's what I was invited to bravely chat about with Gerrette Buglion from #igotout on IG Live last week.
Here is that conversation.
For those who have gone through the journey of recovering from cults, high-control groups, or coercion, it's vital to approach substances with caution and empathy. After enduring a challenging cultic experience, we understand the importance of finding stability and support. In this conversation, we unite as survivors to connect, heal, and uplift one another. We focus on fostering a sense of belonging as we navigate the complexities of recovery. We've already been through enough bullshit, right? So let's ensure our drug adventures are filled with care.
In this context, safe drug use means understanding ourselves, our triggers, and our boundaries. It's about surrounding ourselves with a supportive network of friends, therapists, or integration coaches who get us and our unique journey. And yes, education plays a key role here too. Learning from experts, having open conversations, and seeking reliable sources can help us make informed choices and minimize potential risks.
Remember, we're all on unique paths, and what works for one person may not work for another. So let's embrace our curiosity and idiosyncrasies, celebrate our growth, and approach drug use with empathy and self-awareness.
Together, we can create a safe space for exploration and healing. I share my unconventional opinion on what I believe is the best choice for people seeking to use psychedelics in their recovery. Let this be a message of openness, self-acceptance, and responsible drug exploration.
Watch it here.
If you ever need to dive deeper into this topic or want to chat, comment here or on the Instagram thread.
Let's continue this conversation with a touch of ease and a whole lot of empathy.
And most of all, stay safe.
Thank you for being here. Together we can approach life with curiosity, compassion, and adventure!
hugs and drugs,

I’m so glad your IG Live touched on solo vs guided psychedelic experiences because I feel like that’s another layer of misinformation that needs to be dispelled. First, there’s the stigma of using psychedelics at all, and then there’s the stigma of not doing them the “right” way (with a guide.)
